You are strolling with your mom or dad, and you notice that he/she winces from the pain in his/lower back. Therefore, as the caregiver, you reach for the nearest bottle of aspirin or some other pain medication to help alleviate your loved one’s aching bones. But, have you ever-considered chiropractic care as an additional way to help alleviate or manage your loved one’s pain or mobility issues?

In addition, if any adjunctive therapy is applied to the soft tissue areas around the area of pain, appropriate pressure is used in terms of the age, sex, height, and weight of the individual.

Chiropractic care could complement the care that you are already receiving from your loved one’s primary care physician, and physical and occupational therapists. In addition, Medicare pays for several sessions with a chiropractor. Other insurances also reimburse for chiropractic sessions.

Talk to your loved one’s physician before engaging in any activities outside of the current treatment plan. Also, make sure you do your research and speak with references before you identify a chiropractor in your area.
