Medicare and HMO Appeals

Many elderly people are not aware of their rights when medical coverage is denied by an HMO. For example, you may appeal an HMO decision not to provide you with services that you believe the HMO should be providing. You may also appeal an HMO decision not to pay for your emergency or urgent care. We can assist in preparing appeals and ensuring that they are given proper consideration as required by Medicare rules.

When appeals are denied by HMO's, there are additional avenues of recourse, including seeking a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge. We are experienced in advising and assisting in all levels of the appeal procedure.
